Bristol’s diversity, the legacy of soundsystem and DIY culture, and its community-run spaces are what make its arts scene so unique. Ahead of @strangebrew’s five year anniversary, @uncannieparker spoke with Co-director and Live Bookings Manager Leigh Dennis and Arts Facilitator Joe Evans about their experience in the city’s creative ecosystem.
The En Masse Community & Arts programme was inaugurated in 2023 as an extension of our mission to celebrate the uniqueness of Bristol’s creative scene. Our free-access programme creates access to creative opportunities for the city’s under-served communities and strengthens creative networks.
This year, two En Masse events will take place at Strange Brew – on Saturday morning: a deep listening ambient drone session with @missterspoon, and later that evening a gig with KAKUHAN @sissirada Twelfth House and @lotoretina.
